Hengdian World Studios
The studio shoot at China’s largest film studios in Hengdian lasted for a week.
The first part of the ARABIA FELIX TV series called for a number of reenactment scenes focusing on the maritime trade with China. Recreating the life of Arabian and Persian merchants in the foreigner’s settlements of Chinese harbour towns in the 9th and 10th century AD, DEMAX chose the TANG district at the Hengdian World Studios as a location. A team of thirty, combining Omani, Chinese and German talent, and up to one hundred extras helped to make this inspiring episode of Omani history come to life.
