Reenactment of the defeat of the Portuguese forces at Fort Jalali in Muscat

What might have been the biggest reenactment production in the Sultanate to date was done in two weeks in February. With a main cast of sixteen, more than 200 extras, about 50 animals, and a mixed Omani-German production team made up of 24 professionals, the shooting schedule was executed in time and on budget. Logistics demanded a limited amount of locations. Most of the scenes were situated in appropriate locations in the capital area, additional footage was acquired in Sur and Misfat Al Abrein.
