The large water tank at Malta’s main film facility was used to produce impressive storm scenes

Filming for ARABIA FELIX - A History of Oman ended with a spectacular high-speed shoot at the large water tank of Malta’s Mediterranean Film Studios. Frame rates of up to 1500 fps were used to visualize the impact of massive waves on an early medieval sailing vessel and its crew. Malta was the last location on a production plan that involved shoots in thirteen countries - Oman, Dubai, Sharjah, USA, Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Italy, Tanzania, Singapore and China.
